The Financial Planning Association (FPA) has named the third recipient of its annual Gwen Fletcher Memorial Award with Apt Wealth Partners head of advice John Moran receiving the award.
Moran, who donated his $1000 prize money to the FPA’s charitable foundation, Future2, won the award for being the highest achiever in last semester’s Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification program.
FPA chief executive, Mark Rantall, said Moran’s efforts continued the legacy of Fletcher in helping people and improving the profession of financial planning.
Moran paid tribute to Fletcher stating she “remains an inspirational role model, and committed to campaigning for a better financial future for all Australians.”
“This award brings to mind the high professional standards the CFP® program fosters, ensuring that we gain a deep understanding of financial planning principles and practice. It is invaluable for developing the skills required for professional excellence and I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
