A former risk adviser, Patrick O’Connor, has joined Tower Australia as head of distribution for the group’s retail life business.
O’Connor will report to Tower’s chief executive of retail life, Brett Clark.
Clark believes O’Connor understands the independent financial advice market well and has demonstrated enthusiasm and energy in the role.
O’Connor spent 15 years in the financial services industry as an adviser, running a practice specialising in risk insurance, a statement from Tower said. He then joined PrefSure, which was acquired by Tower in 2006. Since then O’Connor has held a number of roles within Tower, including head of distribution strategy and national manager of Tower Adviser Partners.
