Westpac has appointed former KPMG national chairman, Peter Nash, to its board effective from 7 March, this year.
The big banking group announced the appointment this week, noting Nash’s long history at KPMG until his departure in 2017.
Nash is currently the non-executive chairman of John Lyng Group Limited and a board member of Reconciliation Australia, Koorie Heritage Trust, Migration Council Australia and Golf Victoria.
Confirming Nash’s appointment, Westpac chairman, Lindsay Maxted, said he would bring significant financial, accounting, risk management and business strategy experience to the board.
