GQG’s former director of wholesale markets, Daniel Bullock, has taken up a new role leading private wealth at a global investment company.
Bullock first joined GQG in July 2019 and spent more than five years in the wholesale markets director position, developing and executing the go-to-market strategy for the Australian wholesale business.
In this role, he raised more than $5 billion in assets under management (AUM) and built a network with key industry stakeholders, such as private wealth managers, financial advisers, and family offices.
Bullock has now joined EQT as its head of private wealth for Australia, based in Sydney and reporting to Sueann Yeo, EQT’s head of Asia-Pacific private wealth.
EQT is a global investment organisation with €269 billion ($460 billion) in total AUM and owns portfolio companies and assets in Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Americas.
As its Australian private wealth head, Bullock will play an important role in enhancing EQT’s strategy of expanding its private wealth footprint in Australia.
In particular, he will oversee EQT’s private wealth initiatives in Australia. This includes EQT Nexus that was launched in May 2023 – the company’s evergreen investment strategy for private investors.
His appointment reflects the firm’s aim to bolster its private wealth presence in Australia, which EQT recognises as a fast-growing and sophisticated investor market.

The incoming private wealth head brings over 15 years of experience working in financial services and wealth management.
Prior to his time spent at GQG, Bullock was a business development manager at Magellan Asset Management and an investment specialist at Colonial First State.
