The digital advice provider has appointed former fund management CEO Ken Lambden to the board as a non-executive director.
Lambden was formerly chief executive of J O Hambro Capital Management which had £22.9 billion ($39.7 billion) in assets under management and chief investment officer of Baring Asset Management.
While he was now based in the UK, he began his career in Australia including time as chief executive of Australia and head of Australian equities at Schroders Investment Management.
Peter Meurer, Ignition Advice chairman, highlighted that Lambden’s financial experience across the globe would further support the firm’s business growth and expansion into the UK market.
“Ken’s extensive credentials and global experience will greatly assist Ignition in achieving its strategy of becoming the leading global digital advice provider for financial institutions,” Meurer said.
Since March 2020, Lambden has also been a non-executive director of Quilter Financial Planning and also worked as a non-executive director of RWC Investment Management.
Meurer added: “His appointment strengthens the support that our new global CEO, Terry Donohoe, has on the ground in the important UK and European markets”.
