Aberdeen Asset Management has appointed Victor Rodriguez to head its Asia-Pacific fixed income business, while Nick Bishop will take over leadership of Australia's fixed income team.
Rodriguez will spend more time in Asia as the year progresses, permanently relocating to Singapore at the end of 2014. He will then be heavily involved with the Australian fixed income strategy teams, and
Rodriguez and Bishop will continue to work closely together.
"Victor is a widely respected investor and his new role is an endorsement of his ability as a fixed income manager and his success in building a strong and stable team in Australia," Aberdeen managing director Brett Jollie said.
As a result of the reshuffle, Anthony Michael has decided to leave the business immediately after 18 years in the company. He spent the past six years as head of Asia-Pacific fixed income in Singapore.
