More than 240 women in the finance industry have qualified as finalists at this year’s Women in Finance Awards.

Momentum Media (the parent company of Money Management) received almost 570 submissions this year, out of which 245 finalists have been chosen to compete for 29 submissions-based awards at the Women in Finance Awards 2023.

Run with the support of principal partner Mortgage Choice (part of the REA Group), the Women in Finance Awards program recognises the best and brightest women leading the charge across the finance sector.

Held on Friday 10 November 2023 at The Star Sydney, the black-tie ceremony will showcase the depth of female talent across the nation’s finance space, while affirming the sector’s essential role in supporting the financial health of Australia. Click here to buy tickets.

This year’s finalists will be competing across 24 individual categories including Financial Adviser of the Year and Fintech Leader of the Year, and five group categories including Employer of the Year and Training and Development Program of the Year.

The highest scoring individual winner will receive the prestigious Excellence Award.

The national awards have quickly become the benchmark for excellence, championing the women who have dedicated themselves to propelling the industry forward.

They celebrate the achievements of the most successful women across the finance industry including brokers, accountants, bookkeepers, banking and finance lawyers, CEOs, entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and the rising stars of tomorrow, as well as employers.

Finalist submissions will now be delivered to a panel of respected professionals and business leaders, who will assess each submission against the criteria of each award category.

The judges will score each part of the submission across the category’s criteria, giving an aggregated score.

The combined judging scores for each submission for each category will then be tabulated, with the highest scoring submission deemed the winner.

Commenting on the achievements of women in the finance industry across the nation, Momentum Media’s managing editor, mortgages, Annie Kane said: “Momentum Media, in partnership with Mortgage Choice, are thrilled to announce the finalists of the Women in Finance Awards 2023.

“We’re proud to be able to showcase the incredible women and companies in the finance industry who are excelling in their fields and playing a pivotal role in supporting the financial health of Australians in a changing economic environment.

“By celebrating these amazing women and businesses, we aim to not only celebrate the achievements of this hardworking minority but also inspire future generations of women to consider financial services as a profession.

“Congratulations to all of the finalists of the Women in Finance Awards 2023. We look forward to crowning the winners at the awards ceremony in Sydney!”
