He would make the switch from Goldman Sachs, where he had most recently been head of APAC equities electronic services, leading client coverage, product development, engineering, execution consultation and execution risks teams across seven markets in the Asia-Pacific region.
Prior to that, he had led the algo development micro franchise strategy group at Goldman Sachs, where he was responsible for the design and implementation of multiple projects across the region.
Effective May 2023, Peach would be responsible for leading the BlackRock team in delivering market-quality exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to its clients in the APAC region, along with investment management of portfolios and supporting the development of the indexing industry and ETF markets.
Samara Cohen, global chief investment officer for iShares and index investments, was “delighted” with the appointment amid BlackRock’s “next stage of growth”.
