Dealer group DKN has updated its self-managed super fund (SMSF) administration tools, targeting accountants who wish to continue to give SMSF advice without changing the shape of their business or becoming financial planners.
DKN will offer a limited authorisation solution via the SMSF Specialist Package, through its wholly owned subsidiary Lonsdale Financial Group.
SMSF administration assistance would include Class Super accounting software system, audit outsource services through ASF Audits, and SMSF Establishment, Borrowing, Documentation and Estate Planning tools through Topdocs.
DKN chief executive officer, Phil Butterworth, said the new enhancements have been launched following extensive testing. The SMSF Specialist Package would enable accountants to “retain their SMSF clients and continue to provide them with strategic and structural advice in the most efficient way,” Butterworth said.
The SMSF sector now accounts for one-third of the $1.3 trillion superannuation industry, according to recent statistics released by the Self-Managed Super Fund Professional’s Association of Australia (SPAA).
