Independently owned financial advisory firm Dixon Advisory Group Ltd has created a new role of chief investment officer (CIO) and appointed Kevin Smith to the position.
Mr Smith’s previous roles have included chief investment officer, equities, at ABN AMRO Asset Management in London and chief executive officer, Standard Life Investments (Asia) Limited in Edinburgh and Hong Kong.
At ABN AMRO Asset Management, he was responsible for the global investment team that managed in excess of €75 billion in equity, listed property and alternative investments.
At Standard Life Investments (Asia) Limited, he was responsible for all investment and business development activities in the region.
Mr Smith has relocated from Hong Kong to Australia to take up the position. He will work out of Dixon Advisory’s Melbourne and Sydney offices.
