Some of the world’s top direct-distribution executives in the financial services industry will address the local industry in Sydney next month.
Chairman of the “next.direct 99” conference, Steve Tunley, says the major issues discussed will be distribution power; the convergence of distribution and the Internet; and costs and profitability. The conference will run over March 16 and 17 followed by an all-day workshop on the 18th.
Keynote speeches will be delivered by Mike Harris, chief executive of Prudential Banking, on the future of direct banking, and Judy Balint, president of E*Trade, on the company’s global delivery strategy.
“The information the conference provides extends into all distribution channels and impacts on the design, delivery and profitability of all financial service providers,” Tunley says.
