Countplus has launched a Harvard Business School Scholarship honouring its founder, Barry Lambert.
The accountancy-based financial services firm announced that the principal of accountancy firm, Cooper Reeves, David Reeves was the inaugural recipient of the scholarship, which is intended to acknowledge Lambert’s contribution to the financial services sector over the past 50 years.
Commenting on the scholarship, Countplus chief executive, Matthew Rowe said that with Lambert’s impending retirement, the company believed the scholarship represented a way of honouring his legacy.
He said that each year the board of Countplus would choose one recipient from within the Countplus senior network to undertake the “Leading Professional Services Firms” Executive Education program at Harvard Business School in Boston, USA.
Rowe congratulated Reeves on being the first recipient of the new scholarship for his leadership and business acumen.
“David has been a consistent high performer and has built a wonderful culture at Cooper Reeves that is widely admired within Countplus and the broader community,” Rowe said.
