Clive Levinthal has been named head of life insurance for ClearView Wealth, leaving a senior position at CommInsure to take up the role.
Levinthal was most recently general manager, product management, at CommInsure, responsible for both life and general insurance as well as superannuation and investment products.
Levinthal will step into his new role on 19 July, joining former CommInsure colleague Simon Swanson. Swanson left his role as executive general manager of CommInsure in June last year and emerged as managing director of MMC, Clearview’s new parent company, in March, when MMC announced its $195-million acquisition of Clearview Retirement Solutions and MBF Life from Bupa Australia.
ClearView has also named Greg Martin as appointed actuary to ClearView’s life insurance operations and Scott Alomes as head of marketing and human resources.
Martin is a director of KPMG Actuaries and was the 2008 president of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia, while Alomes’ previous experience includes senior roles with Suncorp, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and National Australia Bank.
