CommInsure has appointed Swiss Re head of life and health Helen Troup as its executive general manager taking on the role vacated by Paul Rayson’s move to Commsec in December last year.
The appointment was announced by the Commonwealth Bank of Australia Wealth Management group executive Annabel Spring with Troup set to start with CommInsure in early April.
Prior to her current role Troup was ING New Zealand (now OnePath NZ) chief executive and also held senior roles with ING Australia (now OnePath Australia) and Royal and Sun Alliance (now Asteron).
Troup also co-chairs the Financial Services Council (FSC) Group Risk Working Group and has been a member of its Life Board Committee.
Spring said Troup’s extensive experience was reflected in the successful businesses she had led and in her contribution to industry organisations across the financial services industry.
