Colonial First State (CFS) is not expected to announce a replacement for Paul Barrett (pictured) as general manager of advice for a number of weeks following his departure to head up advice at ANZ.
A spokesman for CFS has told Money Management the company was reviewing arrangements following Barrett’s departure and would be making an announcement in due course.
Barrett surprised many in the industry this week when it was announced that he would be filling a newly-created position at ANZ — general manager of wealth and distribution.
ANZ said Barrett would be responsible for all of its financial planner and advice networks, including aligned dealer groups, open market dealer groups and other alternate channels.
He will report to ANZ Wealth managing director John Van Der Wielen.
