Colonial First State Global Asset Management has appointed former Russell Investments director, investor services, Joanne Davison to the position of regional managing director, Australia and New Zealand, one of three new roles created to geographically streamline the business.
The remaining two roles include the recently appointed regional managing director for Asia, Michael Stapleton, and a third role, managing director of Europe, Middle East and Africa, which will be based in the United Kingdom and has yet to be announced.
Davison’s responsibility will be based around the areas of marketing, business development and sustainability.
Davison was previously responsible for the management of the institutional client services team at Russell Investments and oversaw client relationships that had assets invested with Russell Investments.
Davison is also chair of the Association of Superannuation Funds Association (ASFA) conference committee and a member of the ASFA investment committee.
Davison has an “impressive international background in funds management, with a particular emphasis on leading the development of client focused solutions, which we see as being key for the future growth in our business”, CFS global asset management chief executive Mark Lazberger said.
