ING Investment Management (INGIM) has appointed former Colonial First State (CFS) currency specialist Dan McCarthy to its global equities team – one of a spate of recent inter-fund manager career moves.
Formerly responsible for managing CFS’s foreign currency exposures for international strategies, McCarthy will join INGIM as senior portfolio manager – tactical strategies in its international equities team, effective September 18.
He will perform a “pivotal role in hedging decisions for INGIM’s international equity portfolios, currency overlay/alpha strategies and day-to-day FX/cash flow management”, according to Eric Siegloff, director of tactical asset allocation and investment strategy.
