Financial Planning Association’s (FPA) corporate affairs manager Katrina Byers has handed in her resignation, effective June.
Byers joined the FPA about 18 months ago when she took over the role from former corporate affairs manager Sue Coffey.
The resignation closely follows that of the FPA’s Sydney based public affairs consultant Marnie Lonsdale, who quit the post in March. Lonsdale took on the Sydney role just prior to Byers’ appointment in December 1999, when she filled a long standing vacancy.
An FPA colleague commenting on the resignation, says it is not a hurried departure and Byers will complete current projects.
Byers has not yet revealed her future plans, but it is believed she will be moving into another public relations role.
The FPA manager of corporate affairs position will be re-advertised shortly before Byers’ departure.
