BT Investment Management (BTIM) has added to its income and fixed interest capabilities with two new appointments.
The fund manager announced this week it had appointed Tim Hext as a portfolio manager with a focus on Australia and New Zealand markets, and Amy Xie Patrick as a portfolio manager with a focus on emerging markets.
Confirming the appointments this week, BTIM’s head of income and fixed interest, Vimal Gor said they had been driven by sustained growth in the funds management business and strong client demand.
“I am delighted to welcome to the team two highly experienced professionals who will help us continue to focus on delivering superior outcomes for our clients,” he said.
Hext joined BTIM from NSW Treasury Corporation where he was general manager, funding and balance sheet, while Patrick was previously with F&C Asset Management in London.
Both will commence their new roles in late February.
