Amid growing concerns about the impact of Tax File Number (TFN) requirements on superannuation fund members, BT Financial Group has today announced it has launched an online tool designed to capture and update customer’s TFN information.
BT head of Super Solutions Gary Cox said the online service was the most simple and efficient means of updating and providing TFN details and meant there was no need to fill in paper forms or fax details.
“It’s simply a matter of keying in a few details on the PC or laptop,” Cox said.
He said BT believed it was important to make the processes as simple as possible for members to ensure they did not need to pay any unnecessary tax when the new super reforms come into effect.
