FormerFinancial Planning Association(FPA) board member Nick Bruining has taken out the 2003Money ManagementFinancial Planner of the Year award.
Bruining beat a large field of strong contenders, including David Haintz, last year’s finalist Peter Leggett and Simone Vanden-Driesen, who all took out highly commended awards.
Bruining impressed the judges with his service to financial planning, which included his work with the FPA board and his contributions to senate hearings into superannuation. Bruining was also commended for his commitment to professionalism and helping to raise the public profile of financial planning via his presence in both mainstream and industry media.
Bruining will receive a trip to the US FPA annual conference in the USA next year and will be presented with the Financial Planner of the Year award in May.
