Challenger Limited has announced the appointment of Brian Benari as chief executive officer designate.
As Challenger’s chief financial officer, Benari has been named to succeed the company’s current chief executive officer Dominic Stevens in February 2012.
Commenting on Benari’s naming, Challenger chairman Peter Polson said Benari was the natural choice to succeed Stevens, given his deep involvement in corporate strategy and operations over the past nine years. Polson also said Benari was the driving force behind the acquisition and expansion of Challenger’s residential lending business.
