The SMSF Professionals' Association of Australia (SPAA) has appointed Brett Kenny to the board.
Apart from his role as director of the Melbourne-based accounting firm Rogerson Kenny, he has more than 30 years accountancy experience and has been involved in building SPAA's Victorian state chapter.
Kenny began his career with Touche Ross & Co, a chartered accountancy firm that merged to become part of KPMG.
SPAA chief executive Andrea Slattery said Kenny's knowledge of the taxation, accountancy and auditing issues facing self-managed super funds would be a bonus to the board.
