Fund management group BlackRock has announced a number of senior appointments, hoping to enhance its business in Australia.
Henry Capra, who has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, has been appointed as chief operating officer. Capra’s recent experience includes performing various senior roles at AMP Capital Investors and Colonial First State.
As part of new changes to its senior management team, BlackRock also appointed Orla Fisk as senior compliance officer and Pru Bennett as head of corporate governance. Bennett recently performed similar duties at Regnan Governance Research and Engagement.
Fisk has 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, specialising in compliance, risk and governance. She previously worked for Genesys Wealth Advisers, Challenger Financial Services and Zurich.
Commenting on the new appointments, BlackRock chief executive Damien Frawley said he was pleased with the new additions because they “bring significant experience in their respective areas.”
