Bell Direct has implemented a client trading facility on its Desktop Broker adviser-based equity trading platform.
The new facility enables clients to trade equities online using Desktop Broker, while ensuring that advisers still have oversight of the transactions.
“We’ve put more control in the adviser’s hands. They now have the choice of allowing their clients to trade on their own account, yet still keep an eye on everything that takes place,” said Bell Direct chief executive Arnie Selvarajah.
“Advisers can still trade on their client’s behalf, or they can give trading access to their clients who want to take a more active role in managing their equity portfolio.”
He added that the new feature was also useful at tax time when advisers needed to report on their clients’ assets and liabilities and yet did not always have access to all their activities.
