Aviva has launched scheme to incentivise employees to be more environmentally sustainable at home by matching government water efficiency and renewable energy rebates.
Apart from receiving the standard state or federal government rebate when purchasing a water or energy efficiency product, employees will receive an additional rebate from Aviva of up to $300.
The rebate is part of the initiative that resulted in Aviva becoming the “first insurer to carbon neutralise its operations on a worldwide basis”, according to chief executive Allan Griffiths.
“We’re continually challenging ourselves to improve our impact on the community and environment and the rebate is “a great way of encouraging employees to be environmentally conscious at work and at home.”
Last week Aviva Analyst Programmer Barry Holmes became the first Aviva employee in Australia to receive the rebate by installing a grey water system for his Eltham home.
