The Australian Securitisation Forum (ASF) has appointed Stuart Fuller, managing partner at Mallesons Stephen Jaques, as its new chairman.
Fuller, who replaces outgoing chairman Phil Vernon, is recognised as one of Australia’s pre-eminent lawyers in securitisation and structured finance, according to an ASF media release.
He has been involved in most major securitisation transactions undertaken in the Asia-Pacific region over the past 10 years, it said.
Fuller said the ASF intends to “step up its engagement with its members, industry and policy makers to develop an appropriate way forward for securitisation markets, given current liquidity issues”.
