Due to Australia’s embrace of multiculturalism, Outsider has struggled with the consistent spelling of a number of names and once imposed a newsroom rule that if Money Management were to be wrong about the spelling of someone’s name then it should try to be consistently wrong meaning that if we spelled your name incorrectly in 2013 then we’ll spell it just as incorrectly in 2017.
Which brings Outsider to Arthur Naoumidis, the chief executive at DomaCom and one-time head honcho at Praemium — a man who clearly delights in Outsider-like consistency.
There was Arthur striding around the Conference of Major Superannuation Funds wearing a name tag on which his somewhat challenging surname had been spelled correctly but Arthur had not become Martha but rather, “Arther”.
The accompanying photograph captures Arther drinking to forget.
