ANZ has implemented OnePath technology to enhance claims processes, underwriting and trustee portals, showcasing the innovations on a national roadshow.
Key enhancements included SMS customer communications, a new online claims lodgement process, improved mental health claims management and new ways of accessing electronic insurance applications.
The roadshow also featured process improvements, in particular the recent partnership with Caseworks Australia, which offered mental health claimants medical assistance when filling out claims.
ANZ head of life insurance, Gerard Kerr, said technology and innovation had the potential to streamline and revolutionise aspects of the OnePath range.
“Technology is such a game changer for our clients, so we want to make sure we integrate it where it is of most use to them,” said Kerr. “They have asked for tools that give them more visibility, transparency and convenience, and our focus has been on delivering in these areas.”
Kerr said OnePath was working with the Sydney University of Technology’s Advanced Analytics Institute, to “meet and exceed best practice process standards” using technology.
