“Whatever you may say about AMP, they certainly know how to put on a show.”

“Whatever you may say about AMP, they certainly know how to put on a show.”
This was an overheard comment of a delegate at last week’s AMP National Sales Conference in Sydney.
The conference featured all the razzamatazz that AMP’s annual get-together are renowned for plus a number of high profile speakers from both within and outside the financial services industry.
Some of the celebs to grace the stages of the conference included legendary enter-tainer Barry Crocker, political animal Graham Richardson and funny man Paul Martell. There was also a strong Olympics flavour to the conference with the ap-pearance of past champions and hopefuls for Sydney 200 including former swim-mer Lisa Curry, sprinter Matt Shervington, wheelchair basketball captain David Gould and weightlifter Damien Brown.
Th conference kicked off, quite literally, on Sunday night with cancan girls, tango, flamenco, acrobats and belly dancers. The showmanship continued on Tuesday’s main plenary session opening to Barry Crocker belting out “This is the moment” while surrounded by rhythmic gymnists, fencers and basketballers.
