AMP Capital Investors will apply sustainable and responsible investment (SRI) principles to its Responsible Investment Leaders (RIL) Balanced Fund this month, applying environmental, social and governance (ESG) assessment across equity, debt and direct property.
Commenting on the changes, AMP Capital Investment specialist Angus Dennis said applying SRI principles to the Australian fixed income portfolio takes the fund’s SRI focus a step further.
“This fixed interest initiative is consistent with AMP Capital’s strategy of continually enhancing the SRI emphasis of our RIL product range. Specifically, the strategy will ensure continuity of SRI focus in the RIL Balanced Fund across corporate issuers for both equity and debt, with global debt solely invested in sovereign bonds,” he said.
