AIA Australia has announced a number of new appointments and changes to its product and adviser services teams.
Tim Tez has joined AIA Australia from AXA Australia as head of product management, and will lead AIA Australia’s retail and direct product functions. He previously held roles with TOWER Australia and with PrefSure/Lumley.
Vicki Writer has joined the Sydney-based adviser services team as state manager for NSW/ACT. She made the move from Aviva, and has previously held roles at ING, TOWER/PrefSure and Westpac Life.
David Tilley has moved into the role of national dealer group manager, having spent the last six years as state manager for NSW. Dean Carey, in addition to his current role of state manager for Victoria/Tasmania, will assume national responsibility for managing the AXA and AFS dealer group relationships.
AIA Australia has also announced a new name for its telephone-based adviser services team. The Adviser Contact Team (formerly known as Energiser) has welcomed three new consultants to its team and Karen Janes, formerly the underwriting manager for retail, has been announced as its head.
These announcements follow the recent departures of two senior managers of the AIA Australia adviser services team. Head of adviser services David Mounsey and national dealership manager Niall McConville left in late January.
