Agribusiness researcher AAG is inviting advisers and dealer group researchers to select the inaugural AAG Agri Managed Investment Scheme (MIS) of the Year Award.
The planners and researchers will select the winner from a shortlist (see below) of the five MISs that received the highest overall AAG investment ratings last financial year.
They will be asked to vote for the investment they feel presents the best overall option, based on management, governance, track record and the risk versus return of the investment offering, according to research director Tim Lee.
“By allowing the very people who make the investment recommendations — financial planners and researchers — [to vote], we have a great way of ensuring we achieve an accurate and fair awards result.
“After all, these are the people who are making the investment recommendations and have the market and product knowledge.”
The following MISs appear on the shortlist:
FEA Plantations Project 2008 — Option 1;
Gunns Plantations Woodlot Project 2008 — Option 1;
ITC Diversified Forestry Project 2008;
Heathcote Ridge Vineyard Project No. 2; and
Macquarie Almond Investment 2007 — Late Growers.
