A Gold Coast accountant has been charged with lodging false documents with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
Paul Anthony Scott appeared before Southport Magistrates Court earlier this week to face charges relating to allegations of providing ASIC with false documents and a second charge of obstructing ASIC in doing its job.
In a statement released today, ASIC revealed that Scott was not required to enter a plea and was bailed to face Brisbane Magistrates Court on 21 November.
The offences are alleged to have occurred between 1 July 2010 and 30 March 2013.
The matter has been fowarded to the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions.
