QBE creates top strategy role
Large scale general insurer, QBE has announced key senior executive appointments.
The company announced this week that its current chief executive officer, Australia and New Zealand operations, Colin Fagan would become QBE group chief strategy officer.
In announcing the change, group chief executive, John Neal, said the creation of the new role was designed to create a strong platform for growth across the group.
He said the position would be responsible for leading major growth and efficiency initiatives across QBE globally, ensuring the company could leverage its significant worldwide footprint to drive top and bottom line growth.
Neal also announced that QBE's current head of the Australian and New Zealand Partners and Direct business, Tim Plant, had been promoted to the role of chief executive for Australia and New Zealand operations.
The QBE announcement said the two changes would take effect from 18 August.
