Cbus adds three asset heads
Building and construction industry super fund Cbus has made three appointments to head its property, private equity, and equity portfolio construction teams.
The three new heads would be:
- John Longo, head of property;
- Serge Allaire, head of private equity; and
- James Crawford, head of portfolio construction.
Longo would commence in mid-February and was previously a senior investment director at Australian Super for four years.
Before that, he held the position of property director at the Future Fund for five years and had previous experience in directly managing listed property securities portfolios at Challenger and HSBC.
Allaire would also commence this month and was a previously a portfolio manager with the MLC private equity team for eight years
At MLC he was responsible for the Australian, Asian and European private equity portfolios; prior to that, he held various roles with NAB/MLC and McKinsey & Co.
Crawford had been appointed as head of equity portfolio construction and previously had senior roles at First Sentier, AllianceBernstein and Wellington.
He was also previously head of investment strategy at IAG Asset Management and a principal/senior consultant at Towers Perrin.
Prior to that he worked at Commonwealth Funds Management in various roles, which included head of research and manager of trading.
