Following its rebrand last year, Colonial First State (CFS) fund names will finally be phased out this month and all funds will be labelled as First Sentier Investors.

First Sentier said there had been a long delay in announcing the fund name changes as the firm wanted them to align with the new brand as part of scheduled updates to product disclosure statements (PDS).

The CFS brand had been in use since 1989 until it was changed following the sale of the business last year from Commonwealth Bank to Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation.

In total, some 29 funds would have their name changed across equities, fixed income, infrastructure and multi-asset solutions including those run by Stewart Investors and FSSA Investment Managers. The eight funds run by Realindex Investments would remain unchanged.

There would be no change to the investment teams or management of the funds and CFS remained the platform provider for First Sentier.
