Crestone appoints non-executive director
Crestone Holdings has appointed Barbara Ward as an independent non-executive director.
Ward was currently a director of Caltex Australia, a number of Brookfield Multiplex Group companies, and Qantas Airways where she had chaired the company’s audit committee.
She was previously director of Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Lion Nathan, The Sydney Opera House Trust and the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation.
From 1979 to 1985 she had served as a senior ministerial adviser to Paul Keating and from 1993 to 1998 was chief executive of Ansett Worldwide Aviation Services.
Ward said in this period of disruption for wealth managers, Crestone had developed a unique operating structure and offering as they were owner operated and provided advice to wholesale clients exclusively.
“Crestone’s approach has been embraced by the high net worth segment and the interaction with clients and breadth of investment solutions is second to none in the Australian Wealth Management landscape,” Ward said.
“I am looking forward to supporting the strategic development of the business as we continue to grow over the coming year.”
