Venardos to exit IOOF board
The former chairman of IOOF Limited, George Venardos will be retiring from the company’s board at the company’s annual general meeting in late November.
The company announced Venardos’ impending departure to the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) today and it comes despite the company winning its Federal Court battle against the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) which involved both Venardos and the former managing director, Chris Kelaher.
Commenting on the departure, IOOF chairman, Allan Griffiths said Venardos had served the IOOF board with professionalism.
Venardos joined the IOOF board in 2006 and was chairman from 2016-18.
