Financial Planning Research Journal announces award winners
The editors of the Financial Planning Research Journal (FPRJ) is introducing three new research awards and winners for 2018/19.
FPRJ started the awards to provide an academic platform to discuss issues around personal financial planning and wealth management, changes in the industry and the notion of professionalism in personal finance in Australia.
The journal was published by Griffith University on behalf of the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA).
Dr Michelle Cull from Western Sydney University was the recipient of the “early career research award”, which is awarded to a researcher who had competed their dissertation within the last five years and made outstanding contributions to research in financial planning in Australia.
Cull also received the “conference travel award” and would present at the Academy of Financial Services (AFS) and FPA conference in Minneapolis, USA in October.
She would participate at the conference along with winners from the Journal of Financial Planning and the Financial Services Review which was the academic journal of the AFS, to over 2000 financial planners and hundreds of academics.
Robert J Bianchi, Michael E Drew and Adam N Walk won the “best paper award” for their paper The Time Diversification Puzzle: A Survey.
