AMP’s Geoff Roberts announces retirement
Director of AMP Limited, Geoff Roberts, has announced he would retire from his position on the board after just under three years in the role, effective at the conclusion of the 2019 annual general meeting on 2 May.
In a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), AMP said Roberts’ decision was due to the increasing demands on his time from his executive role at SEEK Limited and as director of the AMP Limited board and a number of AMP’s main subsidiaries.
Andrea Slattery would replace Roberts as chair of the AMP Limited and AMP Bank Audit Committees.
AMP chair, David Murray, said Roberts’ extensive experience in financial services across Australia, Asia and Europe was “invaluable” during a period of significant change for the firm.
“We have benefited from his knowledge and expertise and wish him well for the future,” he said.
