Warakirri AM launches agriculture fund
Boutique asset manager, Warakirri Asset Management, has launched the Diversified Agriculture Fund, which will invest in a portfolio of investment-grade Australian agricultural assets and leases to high-quality tenants.
The company said the fund aimed to provide investors with strong risk-adjusted returns via stable lease income and long-term capital growth, with a low level of volatility.
The new fund would be managed by Adrian Goonan, chief executive of Warakirri Cropping and Diversified Agriculture Funds Management, who has over ten years of experience as an agriculture investment manager.
The firm currently manages more than $1 billion in FUM and commitments across agricultural assets.
“The agriculture theme is now well understood in investment markets and Warakirri is well positioned to partner with clients to access this opportunity,” Jim McKay, Warakirri’s managing director, said.
