Australian Unity hires new senior exec

Australian Unity Wealth and Capital Markets has appointed Yvonne Chu, former senior technical services manager at Colonial First State, as its new head of technical services.

Prior to her role as senior technical services manager, Chu worked in CFS’ FirstTech for a decade, and holds a Master of taxation and Bachelor of commerce (actuarial studies).

John Carnevale, Aus Unity’s general manager of licensee services, said Chu brought 14 years of industry experience and expertise to the firm at a time when the industry faced issues with adviser.

“Yvonne is a dedicated and active contributor to our profession and is passionate about supporting advisers to provide quality advice that makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives,” he said.
