O’Dwyer reappoints to ARPC board
The Minister for Revenue and Financial Services, Kelly O’Dwyer, has announced the reappointments of Elaine Collins, Janet Torney and John Peberdy as part-time members of the Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation (ARPC) board.
Collins, who was currently a non-executive director of the Motor Accident Insurance board and Zurich Australia Insurance, had more than 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry, providing consulting services to several insurance.
Torney was currently the principal of JT Consult and a non-executive director of Whitehelm Capital, and had extensive experience in investment management and corporate governance.
Currently serving as chairman of EA Insurance Services and deputy chairman of Christian Super, Peberdy had extensive experience in the insurance sector, particularly in general insurance.
In the announcement, O’Dwyer said she was pleased to reappoint the part-time members for a further three years, effective from 1 July, 2018 to 30 June, 2021.
"Each part-time member brings extensive experience to the Board and I welcome their continued contribution to the important work of the ARPC," she said.
