CommInsure launches new digital platform
CommInsure, in partnership with UnderwriteMe Australia, has launched Australia’s first digital quote and application process for its customers after an extensive design process that involved financial adviser and member input.
CommInsure’s head of distribution, Olivia Sarah-Le Lacheur, said customers have responded to the “plain English” used on the new platform.
“Having the capability to remove irrelevant questions for each customer… and reducing the need for as much follow-up evidence improves advisers’ productivity,” she said. “We have delivered an intuitive experience that is simple and easy for customers, and efficient for advisers.”
Business development director of UnderwriteMe Australia, Rakesh Kaul, said the new technology would transform the buying experience for advisers and customers, as well as provide valuable data allowing insurers to prioritise further developments.
Kaul added the platform would “modernise the Australian insurance industry”.
The new digital platform has followed last year’s launch of Income Care Platinum, improvements to medical definitions and the introduction of tele-interviewing.
