AIA invests in customer service
Life insurance provider, AIA Australia, bolstered its customer service team, opening 27 new permanent positions with a focus on this particular area.
According to AIA’s chief executive officer, Damien Green, the increase in the size of its team came about as the company experienced “significant growth in business volumes in the past five years, with group insurance and partnerships with various superannuation funds being the main drivers of this growth”.
Green said the new staff would have a mix of focus areas, including claims assessment in AIA’s group insurance, as well as individual adviser channels.
“In addition to that, we’re expanding our call centre operations to be able to offer better service to our customers based in Melbourne,” he added.
Green said the company is still hiring and plans to complete the recruitment process by the end of the year.
