Clearview appoints independent directors to board
The Clearview Wealth board is now comprised of a majority of independent directors following the appointments of Anne Keating and Susan Thomas as non-executive directors.
The board of directors chairman, Ray Kellerman, stated that Keating and Thomas have experience “relevant to the company’s growth strategy and public listing demands”, adding that Keating’s governance and marketing expertise and Thomas’ law and technology experience in the financial services industry would help Clearview achieve its objective of becoming a “significant player” in the Australian life insurance and wealth management markets.
Keating is a director at STW Communications group, Ardent Leisure Management, Goodman Group, the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and Reva Medical. Keating's former directorships include the Insurance Australia Group, NRMA, Workcover Authority of NSW and Spencer Street Station Redevelopment Holdings.
Thomas is a director of Landgate. She was formerly a director of IWL, a financial software company bought by Commonwealth Bank in 2007, and founder and managing director of FlexiPlan Australia, which was sold to MLC and now operates as the MasterKey Custom platform.
