Zenith hires from CFS for group head of product role

Research house Zenith Investment Partners has appointed a group head of product from Colonial First State (CFS).
In the newly created role for the firm, Matt Warren will align the firm’s local strategy with the global product roadmap of the company.
Zenith’s parent company FE fundinfo, which acquired Zenith in 2021, has offices in London, India and Switzerland among others.
Warren joins Zenith from CFS where he worked as a product director of managed accounts. Prior to this, he spent five years at ANZ as a senior product development manager. He also worked at Macquarie Group.
He will be based in Sydney and report to Zenith’s managing director Jason Huddy.
Huddy said: “Our product and service offering to clients has expanded significantly over recent years. Matt is a highly experienced executive with a proven track record in managing diverse product offerings and ensuring that they remain relevant to clients.
“He has demonstrated success in end-to-end product management and development, including engagement with end users in developing funds management products, super and investment platform services and digital products.”
In August, Zenith announced its founder David Wright will step down as chief executive after 20 years. He has now transitioned to a position of investment director and remains on the local board and executive team.
“Now is the time to ‘pass the baton’ to Jason. Given his time with the business and strong understanding of Zenith’s operations and client base, I’m confident our clients, stakeholders and staff will be in good hands under his leadership. I believe that the business requires an experienced, strategic leader, and Jason is that leader,” he said.
“I’m genuinely looking forward to remaining with the business and using my extensive fund research and portfolio management experience to support the portfolio solutions, research and sales teams to deliver on their client service responsibilities.”
