Vertium hires new portfolio manager
Vertium Asset Management has announced the appointment of Tomas Vasquez as its new portfolio manager/equity analyst, reporting to chief investment officer, Jason Teh.
Vertium, which is an equity specialist and one of the four boutiques distributed by Copia Investment Partners, said that Vasquez had more than 15 years of experience in equity research.
He joined from Investors Mutual where he was an equities analyst for four years. Prior to that, he held a number of similar roles at CBA, ABN AMRO and Aspect Huntley.
Vasques’ hire followed several key appointments across Copia’s distribution and marketing team, the firm said.
“Copia’s mission is to provide high-quality fund managers with the environment and support they need to maximise the outcomes for investors,” Copia’s chief executive, Sam Baillieu, said.
“With Tomas’ appointment we were able to work with Veritum and are extremely confident we have secured the best investment talent.”
