TAL appoints medical Specialist Advisory Board
TAL has appointed a medical Specialist Advisory Board, adding to the services and expertise of the life insurer’s existing in-house medical and health services team.
Brett Clark, TAL Group chief executive and managing director said that the Board would help ensure that the insurer approaches products, underwriting and claims in a way reflective of latest medical best practice.
“We believe that health and life are intrinsically linked and the Specialist Advisory Board’s independent, objective medical expertise gives us confidence that we are providing our customers and partners with the best possible support,” Clark said.
Professor David Bryant, Board member and respiratory specialist at St Vincent’s Clinical School welcomed the Board’s creation.
“From my perspective this is an innovative and worthwhile venture which should be applauded. Being involved in this initiative will bring our professions closer together for the benefit of all Australians,” he said.
The Board’s area of expertise cover cardiology, respiratory conditions, neurology, oncology, endocrinology, psychiatry, neuropsychology and infectious diseases.
